Bristol wedding photography | The Paintworks

Back in September I was the lucky wedding photographer to shoot the wedding of Jannike & Dom. Their Bristol wedding was held in the Paintworks. An amazing space, kind of industrial, lots of texture and colour. Jannike is from Norway. Norwegian wedding custom dictates that anyone can make a speech. I lost count after around 8, there were about 150 guests and I think most of them spoke at one point or another! These guys put the fun into wedding for sure. Before the dancing started we were treated to a bit of Riverdance, juggling, hoola hooping and loads more. I loved this wedding and everything about it. Here’s a few (of the 900 final images!)

Dorset pre wedding shoot – West Bay, Bridport

Hit the road to Dorset last weekend to an area I love – West Bay. Chris & Monique who are getting married later this month introduced me to Mungo, we spent 40 minutes or so capturing a few shots, a great way for us all to get to know each other before the big day and the serious business of wedding photography which is now less than 2 weeks away! Devon wedding photographer | Combe House, Devon

I was excited to have the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Claudia & John at Combe House in Devon. Claudia is a photographer now based in Australia, it’s always good to work with other photographers, I have a few this year but have to admit it does add a little more pressure! A big thankyou to all of the Pomms & Aussies for making me so welcome and also a massive thanks to Fiona, Mark and the team who were beyond helpful!

The location for the wedding was stunning, I love rural weddings. To do Combe House justice I’ve taken some words from their website, if you get a chance take a look, you won’t be disappointed.

“Imagine a wildly romantic Grade 1 Elizabethan Manor set in 3,500 acres of one of Devon’s finest country estates, close to the sea for long coastal walks, yet just a short drive from the Cathedral city of Exeter. London wedding photography | Holy Trinity Church Sloane Square | Chelsea Physic Garden

Another fabulous bride & groom! I headed up to Chelsea to photograph the wedding of Elizabeth and Benjamin. The ceremony was held at the Holy Trinity Church on Sloane Sq. Such an impressive building, usually us wedding photographers shoot in small, cramped churches – especially in Devon! From there we had a quick shoot on Sloane Square, on a baking hot day in the middle of June, by the time we had finished I resembled an ugly entrant in a wet t-shirt competition. The reception was held at the Chelsea Physic Garden, such a great location for wedding or portrait photography. Cornwall wedding photography – Trevenna, Cornwall

On a very damp, foggy & drizzly day this Devon wedding photographer headed off to Trevenna on Bodmin moor, Cornwall. One of my favourite wedding venues. The perfect venue for a small, intimate, rural wedding. It’s so relaxed, Kim & Jonathon are the perfect hosts. Emily & Paul plus guests had a nightmare of a journey down from Nottingham for their Cornwall wedding, but all stresses soon oozed away after a few cold ones at this luxury wedding venue.
