My first Devon family portrait shoot. ‘Portrait shoot’ sounds a bit too formal for what I do, which is nothing grander than wandering around with a camera. Actually ‘wandering’ is probably the wrong word when it comes to child photography, it’s at least a gentle sprint.
I love working with kids and this fab family session was no different. This particular family belonged to my new chum Vanessa who I met through a commercial shoot I did locally. The photography took place on location at her home, a sunny day, beautiful children, wonderful rural location, great parents, dogs and apple picking.
Not only did I capture some stunning family photographs, natural child portraits and the odd chicken I also left with half a dozen eggs and a couple of litres of freshly pressed apple juice! This was one of my favourite shoots of 2010 and here’s why…
